Sentinel Scheduling and Assignments

Sentinel’s powerful Process Scheduler takes away the manual burden of scheduling, notifying and monitoring processes and assignments.

Create a process. Make all assignments.  Schedule all components … one time.  Then use the Scheduler to schedule all future occurrences of the process on any basis.  The Scheduler will:

  • Remembers sequence, assignments and notification days.
  • Adjust automatically to workday and holiday calendar based on start or end date.
  • Schedule on any frequency.
  • Schedule assignments and components relative to start or end date or keep the same relative distance as defined in the first occurrence.
  • Retain “rolling” documents, e.g. updated spreadsheets.
  • Create an empty folder for next occurrence.
  • Incorporate process template changes.
  • Append the process name with the new start date.
  • Allow automatic completion of Events and Processes based on assignment status.
  • Position process in the process hierarchy.

Once the process is scheduled, the Scheduler remembers all the parameters for the specific process to save even more time the next time.

The Sentinel Risk Agent begins monitoring the new processes, sending out email notifications, posting assignments, issuing alerts based on the scheduled parameters.

Special emails can be scheduled and automatically sent to persons not actively involved in the process, e.g. notification that documents need to be sent by a specific date or some control needs to be updated.

All assignments are posted to the assignees’ and monitors’ dashboards, and the Risk Agent begins to monitor the status of each assignment.  If the Time Tracking option is turned on, Sentinel logs the time spent on each assignment.

Finally, Sentinel can be configured to display various levels of alert based upon the status of assignments and other process components … a critical part of controlling schedules and priorities.
