SentinelOn has extensive Security and Access Control at multiple levels and across all functions and data components.

Roles: SentinelOn is Role-based.

  • All users must be assigned a Role to access any function or data.
  • Roles are not synonymous with “Position.”
  • Roles are enterprise-defined, grouping appropriate function permissions.
  • A Role can be assigned to any number of users.
  • Permissions are granted by function at the Write or Read levels.
  • Non-accessible functions do not appear on user’s screens.

Permissions: Granted at the Role, Organization and Individual levels

  • Permissions determine accessible SentinelOn functions.
  • Primary Permissions are based on assigned Role.
  • Permissions can be granted to all members of an organization for specific functions, i.e. Document Library.
  • Permissions can also be granted to individuals by the Project Owner or the SentinelOn Administrator.
  • Users cannot access component data without ownership, role or individual permission.

Security:

  • SentinelOn has multiple levels of access and data security.
  • Logins require User ID and Password for an authorized user with a valid Role designation.
  • SentinelOn is configured to comply with enterprise protocols for communication, encryption and passwords.
  • Sentinel maintains a Change Log for most components, tracking change, user name, date stamp and From/To transaction.
  • Sentinel also has optional electronic signature and user-defined approval reasons.
