Data Access

Sentinel provides extensive data Filters and sorting options to allow a user to view the processes, components and other data.  Filters reflect the user-defined database elements and attributes as well as standard attributes, e.g. priority and status.  Every filter is regulated by Sentinel’s Risk Agent, enabling a user to only view and filter individually authorized data.

Sentinel also provides on-screen filtering and toggling to modify the current view.  This is particularly important on such screens as the Dashboard, Process List, Folder List and Documents.  Based on data links, e.g. process and documents, the user can toggle between process and related document views.

Sentinel’s many-to-many data structure provides extensive access and views without the need for separate query functions.

Reporting

Sentinel has more than 70 parameter-driven Report Wizards and formats that can produce several thousand different reports.  Each report selection provides a variety of on-screen options and/or data filters to enable the display of virtually any data combination.

Reporting is controlled by the same role permissions and ownership that provides access to all other Sentinel components.  When an authorized user posts a report to multiple dashboards, the Risk Agent may adjust the data displayed based on each user’s permissions and access.

Reports can be defined and retained as a “canned” report for all authorized viewers, placed on a personal dashboard as a real-time query or distributed to multiple dashboards as a query.  Each time the report is opened it displays the latest data.

Reports are displayed in PDF format and can be downloaded, saved or communicated.  Certain reports are exportable to a .csv file for presentation in Excel™.

Sentinel’s Reports engine is designed to provide maximum access and flexibility in filtering, aggregating and presenting data.
